BACKGROUND
EPC was founded in 1991 by George W. Campbell and Kevin C. Herbert to address the need for Paint Shop Contractors who had plant experience and could understand the challenges of implementing process or equipment upgrades and changes with the entire paint shop environment and process in mind. George is a degreed Mechanical Engineer who has over 25 years of experience, including Paint Area Manager at Ford Dagenham and Louisville Assembly Plant and Paint Quality Planning Manager for Ford North American Operations. Kevin is a degreed Electrical Engineer and has worked for both GE of England and Ford Motor Company in the United States. Their experience in successfully launching new processes and vehicles brings a unique perspective and focus to EPC. EPC began with a location in Louisville, Kentucky and moved in 2002 to a larger facility which includes a state-of-the-art control panel shop, as well as over 20,000 square feet of modular build, integration and system run-off capability.
COMMITMENT
To our EMPLOYEES – EPC is committed to providing a work environment for our employees where team work and innovation, balanced with real-world experience and mentoring, are encouraged and practiced on a daily basis. We aggressively recruit outstanding performers in the surface coating industry. We provide them with the tools, the training and the incentives to optimize their experience and skills and to perform to maximize their potential. To our COMMUNITY – EPC is committed to being a good corporate citizen to our neighbors, our community and our jobsite locations, wherever they may be. To our ENVIRONMENT – EPC is committed to using materials and resources which will least impact our local plant environment, as well as meeting the needs of our customers’ primary needs – to reduce waste as well as negative impacts to noise, air or water quality and to constantly research and help implement methods and products to protect our natural resources. To our CUSTOMERS – EPC is committed to bringing our customers the latest proven technology to meet their process and system requirements in a timely manner and within budget. We work with our customers to determine an appropriate budget and timeframe to ensure that there are minimal disruptions to ongoing production needs and to coincide with their product launch or process enhancement timing. We focus on their quality and through-put improvement needs with practical, proven and affordable approaches. We are committed to retaining customers by supplying them with superior customer service, outstanding warranties and exceeding their expectations.
PHILOSOPHY
EPC believes in investing in the resource which will ultimately return the highest value to our customers – our employees. Rather than be burdened with the high overhead of an expansive sheet metal or piping shop, we have chosen to invest in the best personnel we can find. We partner with local sheet metal, structural or piping companies to provide the most cost effective and efficient fabrication support for our projects. We have provided for in-house support for the items most critical to our customers’ needs – controls, integration and run-off of proprietary technology or systems. This allows us to maintain our highly skilled, technically experienced core personnel through any kind of economic condition, providing consistency and excellence to our customers and their strategic projects and needs. We believe in partnering not only with our suppliers, but also our customers so that we can bring our understanding of their processes and products and our experience to each new project.
